Views on Obama: All US troops out of Iraq by year-end

watch him instantly be kicked out of the white house as he says 'change of plans people'.

DS, there is no way in hell he's going to be impeached this late in the presidency. It's too late, and he'll probably give some bullshit that something happened, so we get to stay. YAY. Iran is more of a threat at the moment.

I think Obama will probably give a lot of weapons, guns, tanks, war ships, and jets to the Iraq military, so now Iraq has enough weapons, and ammo to defend their country themselves from rebels.

But, I got a feeling a small percentage of US troops would be left behind to train the Iraq army and police force to defend their country better unless the Iraq Military and police force is already big enough and strong enough to defend their own country.

If Obama does not stick with his plan, I won't see him getting anymore popular in the next election which is coming soon.

^This.

Also, he said this at the beginning of his presidency. HE LIED. I'm not even sure why they won't leave. Sure, they got oil, but it's as if we have no other way of getting it.

if we give them weapons, they will use them on us. If we leave anyone behind they are as good as dead.

The Iraq government is now allies/friends with the US according to the video posted above. Plus, Saddam Hussein former government has been gone for years since his capture and hanging. Obama also said in the video the US will also provide support and training to the Iraq Military like other friendly nations. But, if rebels, Taliban, and other non-friendly groups steal some of the weapons they will use it against the US.

Don't be too sure about that. There could be rebels as part of the government, and the rebels could get them too, you never know.

What other energy source? Water, electricity, food? These things are easier to get than oil. And not all the Middle East is fucked up. Turkey and Saudi Arabia are doing fine.

I agree there could be rebels in the Iraq government, but I got a feeling the Iraq government would someday be like the US government where senators are well paid, and don't really want a revolution or war which could mean an end to their comfy life style with a stable income, personal cars, houses, and servants yo do our their house work.

I heard the rich people in the Middle East are buying Gold, Silver, Land, companies, etc with their money which they earned from oil. I also think they are smart enough to start researching solar (The middle east has a lot of sun light), wind, and alternative electricity and energy making machines to sell to the US, and other countries, and finding other ways (technology, internet companies, chemicals, drugs, food) of making money instead of just producing energy with oil. Putting all your money making ways in one basket is not really a good idea.

Jordan which is a country in the Middle East has pretty good relationships with the US according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_%E2%80%93_United_States_relations

The Middle East isn't bankrupt. -__-' Libya had a good economy going for them, and I'm only mentioning them because Qaddafi died.

Saudi Arabia Tourism industry is also pretty big.

The Middle East can survive or find a way to survive if oil becomes unpopular since many Middle Easterners also has other ways of making money.

did I say they were? No. I'm say they will once their oil is no longer needed.
You should specify then.

And they have good tourism, and Turkey isn't allowed to mine their oil until 2023, a 100 years after they were established, so they have an economy without it.

sure the country can survive. But can the oil tycoons survive? They are the ones who would be pushing for war.
