What I'm Playing 2016

Just another two more days to go for the release of American truck simulator yeeeaaahhhh

who would get that? Don't tell me you have to buy it.

Really need to pick up my gaming and get through some more. The Witcher seems like a long term project, so I will probably keep that going whilst playing other, shorter games. But overall I haven't put the time into gaming that I want to this year so far and want to step it up.

I've now finished my play-through of The Witcher 3. Took me around 37 hours to complete the game and a couple of side quests - really enjoyed it though and am likely to revisit it to get some more side quests done.

I'm in the final boss fight for Uncharted 2. Will probably finish that today and then that game will be done - very good game. Afterwards I will probably go straight on to Uncharted 3 just to get the collection over a done with before Uncharted 4. I have recently picked up Bound by Flame - didn't review very well but wanted to play it nonetheless.

I've played through all of Uncharted 3 now too. So the Nathan Drake Collection is finished - sadly this game was hindered by some semi-frequent crashes of the game, but overall it was a good experience. Started very strong and finished decently. I am not sure which game I will play next - I still need to finish Transistor but lack the motivation, the next big game I am likely to play is Resident Evil Revelations 2. On the note of Resident Evil, I have also added Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 to the list as they are getting PS4 ports and I will be picking them up and playing them for sure.

After a long period of being slow with games, I have completed Far Cry 4. I will now finish up Transistor and Resident Evil: Revelations 2 before moving onto a new game - hopefully this will start my gaming up again after a hiatus. I have recently purchased some new games also so they have being added to the list.

Do I take it things are put on hold when Uncharted 4 come out? :p

Thread updated with some big changes. I have moved my completed games list here. Using a third-party site allows for me to provide the information more clearly. You can still see what games I am currently playing, and the games I own to play this year in the thread. I have also added some statistics I thought you might be interested in, and let you know what multiplayer games I am playing this year. This makes the OT much more interesting and easier for me to control. Be sure to provide feedback.

Nice, I'll have to do that.

Updated because I have now beaten Life is Strange, and achieved the platinum (3rd this year). I would certainly recommend it if you enjoy story driven adventures and aren't too bothered about game-play.

I have also downloaded Gone Home for free with PS+ so will play that soon, along with the pre-orders of Umbrella Corps and Resident Evil 5 which I have also added to the list.

In my mind I have finished Gone Home. I tried to get all the trophies for it a couple of times and failed due to silly bugs/the game not doing what I want. I will probably go back in a week or so and try again a few times but since I have played it multiple times already (its really short) I am marking this as done.

A busy couple of days for me here. I decided to go back and finish off Transistor as I have left it nearly finished since around November 2015. Finally got it done after around 40 minutes of gaming. Enjoyed it more after the break also.

Now got to finish up Resident Evil: Revelations 2, start The Walking Dead: Michonne and maybe go back to clear up trophies for Gone Home.

Alright, so since The Walking Dead: Michonne is only a miniseries, about 4 hours total - I decided to play it whilst I couldn't sleep. It is now finished and marks my 11th game completed this year (and 4th just in the past week)

Time for another update. Since the last post I have beaten the Battlefield Hardline 'episodes' AKA the campaign.

It was a fun but forgettable story that I managed to beat in only a handful of hours.

I have also purchased:
  • Battlefield 4
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • Dead Island
  • Dead Island Riptide
  • Uncharted 4
  • Blues and Bullets ep 1&2
  • The Witcher III: Hearts of Stone DLC
and thus have added these to the list.

4 separate campaigns and many hours later I completed Resident Evil 6. A good action game but a bad Resident Evil game (in my opinion)

Now time to finish other games I have in progress.

I've being editing the above two posts with updates but feel it is fine to bump this again since around about another month has passed.

Today I have completed the campaign for Battlefield 4.

In my opinion it was a fun game to play, but hindered by its somewhat boring story and mechanical/performance issues. Playing this after Hardline showed me that this was far less polished than Hardline was.

I am now continuing to work on the three games I am still playing through.

I have now finished Dead Island: Definitive Edition which I thought was a decent game, yet went downhill for 'act 2' before improving again. It is a solid 7/10 game in my opinion.
