what was the very first video game that you played or got.

I think the first video game I played was a mario game.
and the first game I got was mario64 for Nintendo 64
 
Hmmmmmmmmmm i guess i got into games when the PS1 came out so

First game: Twisted Metal (I still have the original copy
)
First played: Twisted Metal
 
Pacman and Missle Command for the Atari (now I feel old). I still have them and a few other Atari games from my youth (as well as the Atari).
 
Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet combination game was the the first one I had.

First one I've gotten was Pokemon Stadium 2. (N64)

My first game was a vectorman game in the genesis.
