Which 'meme' do you hate the most?

That's because demotivationals are in away different... to each other and to everything else. Essentially RickRolling is the same boring thing. I mean it's so old and not funny that you may as well just say "Here's a video of Never Gonna Give You Up" instead of tricking people into watching it. Seriously it's that overused that, well if you aren't annoying by it you're just bored of it (possibly to death, metaphorically speaking). Where as demotivationals are nothing more than pictures, which have some form of word that can be used in almost any situation. For example, if someone did something wrong, for which there was no excuse, then that demotivational pic that someone has in their sig would do well. They don't get boring, because there are so many thousands (possibly) of different demotivationals. Where as people who rickroll only use the same thing. That song. It's boring. I know that's what rickrolling is, but seriously, it's not funny. It never WAS funny. I mean... wow, we get to hear a song? OMG! How totally funny.

And seriously, the value of the power level of a character? Oh look, I can say a number but really shout it out? Also, is this sparta? Wow, we totally didn't know that this was sparta. Do you have to shout that out?

Crazy frog and hamster dance. Haaaaaaaaate them.

Most memes are funny at first but lose comedic value quickly. The only meme I don't typically tire of is Demotivationals.
That's a bit of a contradiction of terms, though.
An internet joke has to be wide-spread and well-known almost to the point of saturation before it can qualify as a meme (it is a real word, by the way; it wasn't just made up to describe these viral internet phenomena).

Yes, obviously a meme has to be widely known, and spread around first, but then there's a point where it goes too far.

Not a meme, at this point. But the more it's spread, it might become a meme about here. However, if you overuse it to the point that it simply loses all meaning, say, about here, then that's when it gets boring.

For example, in about 2006, or whenever RickRolling started, maybe it was funny at first. As in, "Ha, you got me
tongue.gif
" sort of thing, but then it gets just annoying, as in "GOD DAMN IT! RICKROLL'D AGAIN!". But now it's just completely overused to the point that it doesn't have the same effect. I mean if I was to get RickRoll'd now, I would not actually have the effect of being RickRoll'd, if that makes sense. For me, being RickRoll'd has the same effect as actually choosing to play the song. And if I was forced to watch the video (on YouTube), I'd just watch it. It's so overused that I wouldn't even get pissed off about it. Like with over 9000 or this is sparta. All they are now, to me, is simply quotes from an anime series from the late 1980s (which didn't actually get shown in the US until about 1997), and a film about ancient Greece or something. Saying THIS IS SPARTA, or OVER 9000 is just as pointless as saying something like "So long, Superman. Your secret identity is safe with me" from The Simpsons. They're just quotes. What's so funny about them? Well, let me rephrase. What's still so funny about them? I mean, if something was 9001 of some value, I might say "over 9000" or "under 10000", but simply normally, as it would be over 9000, but I wouldn't be like "OMG I have over 9000 views on YouTube OMG OMG!" Oh yeah, and er... 1337? What's so special about the year that the hundred years war started?

what a waste of money

I did NOT make this.

My meme I hate the most probably be "FAIL" and "That's what he/she said" (if that's a meme). I understand what it means but I don't understand why people would say "That's what he/she said" as in they mean it in a inappropriate way. Its just... I mean I just don't understand why others laugh at it, when said at certain times. It's just plain words people are saying and..... Ugh... It's difficult to put this into words.
And as for fail, even though I never use the word in other meanings, I dislike it when people say it.

I've hated "Fail"/"Epic Fail"/etc. ever since Cartoon Network started doing it. You know what else I'm not quite fond of?
THE GAME.

Hmm.. we share the same mindset. *Shifty eyes*

Heh I never knew Cartoon Network did it as well. I really don't care much about it anymore. Cartoon Network's not the same as it used to be. Damn new shows.... StillI check it's schedule if they're doing any old shows. I still watch Adult Swim though.

The deal with Cartoon Network, is that it seems that they're making more Random shows in an attempt to be funny. It's not working :/

Watched a few episodes of MAD the other day. Horrible acting and made Pokemon, Metroid, and Donkey Kong (If I remember correctly) look like crap.

Because Cartoon Network would really say things like that. CN isn't cool enough now a days. Then again I gave up after Chowder and Flapjack. Also I hear some of the shows aren't even cartoons and are live action.

Also I hate Rick Roll because it takes an awesome song and ruins it.

Yeah, they're going downhill now.

They don't even make fun of anything anymore. They just cram together movie titles and then make fart jokes. D: Spy vs. Spy is still good though.

They're game shows too. *shudders*
