I think someday most offline popular electronics computers stores like Best Buy may stop selling Laptop RAM also called SO-DIMM RAM in the future. I'm not sure if there would be enough buyers who buy SO-DIMM laptop RAM because of fewer laptops coming with upgradeable laptop RAM slots.

More people are buying laptops, and tablets without upgradeable RAM, and don't use SODIMM laptop RAM where users upgrade the RAM by opening the case door of the laptop, and push in the SODIMM laptop RAM after lining up the notches on the RAM slot.

Most people now use websites like Amazon, and Newegg to buy laptop SO-DIMM RAM for a lower price instead of paying higher prices for RAM at offline stores like Bestbuy.

Despite our tech run world, you would be surprised to find out how little stores actually sell tech outside of big cities.

More people these days are buying tech online on websites like Amazon, so I think it is causing stores to sell fewer tech products like RAM, CPU chips, and motherboards which may not have a lot of local buyers.

I feel most tech stores like Bestbuy may not always sell the brand, speeds, and types of of laptop RAM which a buyer need to buy for their laptop because there are many brands, speeds, and more than one type ( DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, etc) of RAM.

Well, hopefully they would still sell the RAM.

If someone wants to upgrade in the future, they wouldn't be able to do it otherwise.

I agree, hopefully, there are still offline stores which sell RAM since RAM can break randomly, and users with a PC with broken RAM can't use their computer until they replace the RAM with functional RAM.

Using online stores to buy RAM can be confusing for some computer users, so using an offline store is useful for them since there are workers who can upgrade their RAM for them, so they don't buy the wrong type of RAM, or break their PC when installing RAM.
