Hm...I see...
Well alright, if you don't like action commands then maybe those games are really not the right thing for you.
I remember when I first played the game. After a while I could execute those moves perfectly without looking at the screen. It's not that hard, once you get the hang of it.
I like action commands for the fact that you actually have some input into the attacks. It's not like Pokemon or most other RPGs where you just select the attack and that's it. No skill involved. Only knowing what's most effective. I find that boring.
But with action commands you can not only raise your attack but also dodge the ememie's attacks (or lower their attack power like in Paper Mario).
Or like Mother 3 where even rhythm is involved. I love that.
But if it's not your thing then I can understand that.
No i love action commands, I just get really nervous (I have stress anxiety disorder so I go into panic attacks) during timed events and stuff like that and when I have to time an off-screen character it makes me nervous as well. The second game didn't bother me that much but I never got my own copy so I only got to play it until, I think, after some warehouse with barrels or something. And the 3rd one Bowser's Inside Story I only recently learned was an RPG part of the series but I refuse to pay $30 for a used game that is almost 4 years old that I am not sure I will like.

And on a side note...
