Although it is all about guesses, I think it would be pretty stupid if a next-gen console will be weaker then a current-gen.
It'd be quite pathetic if it still wasn't more powerful than the 360 and PS3. We've have 6 or 7 years pass since the current gen consoles first launched.
agreed. If they can't at the very least
match current-gen, then they'll deserve all the derision they'll surely get.
Personally I think they need to be
noticeably better. Not just on par, or some slight improvement somewhere. That doesn't really cut it. If you can't tell the difference, then why go for the Wii U, if you could get a PS3 with a vast back catalogue of discounted AAA titles for the same money or less.
Realistically, I think it'll be capable of crisp, clean, attractive visuals, and will almost certainly be better than current-gen in at least
some respects. Maybe faster loading times. But I find the anonymous reports somewhat believable. I'm no longer expecting the quantum leap I would've liked to see.
