If it is a smaller lightweight electric car, I will try driving a electric car with manual steering to save electricity, and extend the range of a electric car.
In a town with less traffic and fewer distracted drivers, I will drive a heavier big electric car with manual steering because I dont need to switch lanes as much because of constructions, car accidents, broken cars in the middle of the road, and other objects on the road's lane.
When I come to buying a car I will likely go electric purely because of the legislation coming into place in the UK that is making non-electric cars become very expensive to run.
I agree, it would be cheaper to drive a electric car in some countries because of legislation like gas taxes, and gas car inspections and repairs to fix a car which is releasing too much harmful gases into the air. The price of gas engine car parts like the engine block, gaskets, spark plugs, air filters, etc can also cost a lot if you need to replace many parts at once, or replace a few expensive gas engine parts.
I don't have a problem with this knowing that I can help in maximizing or minimizing resources. I will support government projects as long as it can help the nature and all the people. We can maximize the supply of gas and use it in other ways besides our car. There are a lot of cars in the world and oils and gases will soon to be vanished if cars that uses gas will continue.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to do so in a place where traffic isn't that congested. In our country, there are a lot of electronic vehicle being used at the time. Mostly electronic bikes. I heard in the news before, that the government is also open to the idea of using electronic vehicles for public transportation such as buses and cars. It is practical for those places with minimal or no traffic at all, otherwise you will be the one who will cause it due to battery drain
