If I am able to find my way out of this job, I'm sure I'll never work in retail ever again. Working in retail is the pits......especially at Christmas time.
I worked in furniture retail sales for about 6 years - totally applicable to this tik tok video! lol I must say though customers have taught me how a business should be run and expectations I should have as a consumer. I have no issues with telling a company how unsatisfied I am now as a customer.
Had to sell computer chairs for four years myself, was furniture retail pretty bad?
Most of the time when customers have an issue I found that they typically felt like they had to make a scene to get results.

That I can deal with. If you are unhappy about something and you can communicate that in a civilized fashion, then I can deal with that. I'll do my best to try to fix the problem. If not, then I'll let my manager come over and help us with the situation.
Is that the one thing you miss about retail?
Stopped in my former retail place the other day, so under manned the manger look ready to lose it![]()
Retail industry would be a last resort option for me. Even then it would probably be for a company that values their employees and their family time. Costco is one company for instance I imagine I wouldn't mind working for if I had to work in retail.
