I just have no words. Really, it says it all, they're actually blaming Sim City Societies for making people have to think about the environment in game, and saying it's the work of those evil liberal treehuggers and their 'liberal agenda'.

My intelligence must have dropped like a stone after playing the video.

They blame scare tactics and guilt.

They also talk about a game called 'Fate of the World' and environmental problems. I'm not sure what to say here, other than... is that a game for kids? I kind of doubt the makers are intending it purely for them. And really, you should probably know what you're getting into from the huge icon and description of a fuel crisis on the official website.

I have to laugh at the 'stuff parents might not want their kids to learn' bit, explains it all there. It's pretty much denial in progress.

What do you think of this?

Wow. They blame video games again

Wow. They hate video games for being environmentally friendly.

Wow. Just because something is environmentally friendly means it's 'liberal'?

Wow.

The fact you even took the time to listen to fox news's opinion tells me alot about you nin xD

Just found it mentioned a lot on online, and thought I'd have to verify whether the complaints were true before posting it. I may not like Fox News, or The Sun, or The Daily Mail or whatever crappy right wing media exists, but I have to at least read their articles and watch their videos if they criticise video games to know whether their complaints have any validity whatsoever. Not fair to criticise something on mere hearsay.

Yes, those dastardly liberals have clearly infiltrated the ranks of gaming devs.

Obviously.

Elf you fox news. Your dumb xp

It's Fox News. You should just disregard anything they say as right-wing propaganda.

It's pathetic that they call themselves a balanced media outlet.

Fox news.
Those key words are 100% likely to be followed by something ridiculously stupid because that's all Fox news does.

I completely agree with them. We should be absolutely TERRIFIED of children learning not to destroy the only place we can live. Why risk a kid learning where to put a soda bottle when he can learn what happens is you push a person into oncoming traffic?

I still can't believe they haven't talked about CoD yet. But i agree, if a parent gets an M rated game and lets their kids play it and then sue someone, i will break their neck, you can't sue someone for a bloody game if you didn't read the front of the fucking box. Yet there are still idiots out there that do that.
Look at Mario Party, this is a good example of stupid suers. It had a few rotating minigames, and kids would break their thumbs doing so, mostly getting minor cuts or bruises, and instead of getting them a bandage the parents sue Nintendo. I laugh at these parents. Fox News were probably those kinds of parents, and they just want to find a small tiny reason to get Nintendo in trouble.

The funny part is how they keep showing images from Flower, which is actually a very environmentalist game, even though they never mention it, just pretending it is part of The Sims.

I was wondering the same thing, it was almost completely irrelevant. What was the purpose of showing footage from CoD exactly?
