Your Predictions For 2026

What are your predictions for 2026?

Since 2025 is basically just dead in the water at this point, it's time to start talking about next year.

These can be predictions for entertainment, politics, world events, or just general predictions. Just give your best shot at what will happen next year.

My predictions:
Avengers Doomsday ends up a box office disappointment (the budget ends up being too high)
Project Hail Mary turns out to be a best picture contender (I heard really good things about the book)
The US midterm elections end up with democrats winning majority in both houses (this is a pretty safe prediction, almost every presidency ends up with the other side taking over the houses in midterms)
The Mandalorian & Grogu ends up doing alright with $600 million worldwide (or it bombs and I look like a dumbass)
Paramount drops the park and has a very poorly performing year (easy prediction, they have nothing coming out next year)
Amazon Mgm Studios ends up with a box office total of 800 million+ (they have over 12 theatrical releases next year, and some of them are pretty major)

Let me hear you predictions down below.
 
I feel there will be more political BS that will affect people and our interests badly.

I think the Avengers Doomsday might live up to its name and be a bad effect on super hero movies going forward.

I will marry and live happily ever after :hearteye:
 
Donald Trump is going to die. I have a feeling he's going to next year, or RFK Jr. will die. Game consoles are going to continue to go up in price, which sucks because I want to get a Switch 2. 2026 is looking just as bleak as 2025 was not going to lie.
 
I think the US will withdraw from the UN and the ICC. Potentially NATO, as well. I think those organizations will collapse after that, since they've always depended on us to exist.

I really have a funky feeling we will be at war this year. I hope I'm wrong.

I think as prices rise, people will spend less, and many smaller companies will go belly up.

I just don't have a good feeling about 2026.

Again, I hope I'm wrong about everything.

NATO would be severely weakened without The US and would be fractured but would survive for 2-3+ years without the US. So if in 2028 we get a new president that's not like Trump (and not dumb), US should be back in NATO and thus preventing its collapse.

We'll have a new POTUS before 2028.
 
Unless of course, as his last act of dying will, he goes nuclear. Anybody remember that movie Crimson Tide? I guess after that incident (based on a true story, I think) nuclear release is under the control of the President, and guess what? This administration removed anybody competent and loyal to the Constitution. So, I could totally see him taking the rest of the planet with his pathetic butt.

I mean, the man did say he has no exit strategy with this thing with Iran. "Feel it in his bones"? Like what? This is not a good strategy, in fact, this isn't even strategy.

Trump can give the command to launch nukes but the missile combat crew commander and deputy combat crew commander are the ones directly doing the launch and they will definitely refuse trump's crazy order of nuking the entire planet. And nuking the entire planet wont be possible anyway. UK and the other NATO countries with excellent fighter jets like the eurofighter typhoon 2000, France's Dassault Rafale and other fighter jets can intercept and destroy the incoming nukes before the nukes reach their targets on the ground.

Maybe so, but he can easily destroy our economy, raise gas prices to alarming levels, and make every country an enemy. That's almost as bad IMO.
 
Trump is already destroying the economy with his dumbness and ego but it will take alot more years to get the world economy to the point of " the end of the world level" and he is also really afraid of his own businesses getting destroyed. So he will always taco back and in the process preventing that. Trump been wanting to build hotels and towers in israel i'd bet one of the real reasons on him waging war with iran for Netanyahu is because Netanyahu promised him something good on his personal business venture in israel, "secretly" of course. Just like the entire gaza board of peace thing also mainly because of his personal estate business venture he wants to do in the middle east.
