Your view on family gatherings?

There are people that work with attending family meetings. They make plans on attending once a year or some months. Do you attend such meetings or it doesn't matter much to you?

While we have had get-togethers & gatherings for a holiday, we haven't had an official getting together for a meeting. If anything needed to be talked about, it'd be at a Holiday.
