Blizzard is once again facing DDoS attacks which is currently affecting all of its game servers and as a result, no one is able to play any of their games let alone Overwatch.

This time around, the DDoS attack started off with creating login issues for Blizzard players. This is something that happens whenever more IP addresses try to login to the server. As a result, server starts taking the load and randomly starts disconnecting users from the server

that always sucks, hopefully they can restore services soon.

All those profit and yet they are vulnerable
Every one is vulnerable to DDoS attacks, you can't be completely safe when there people out there ready to blackmail you or just take out their frustration.

Hopefully, Blizzard will add more security staff, software, and hardware to prevent more DDoS attacks in the future.

you can't prevent it, you can kill its active time but you can't stop it. Much like a tornado.

Can having a more powerful server, and faster connection stop smaller size DDoS attacks which involve fewer bots which launch a DDoS attack?

small ones possibly, but if someone wants you DDoS you will be attacked.

This is true that DDoS can attack most websites. But, Most DDoS may have a harder time to DDoS very big websites like Amazon, Google, and Apple which has a lot of large powerful servers, and many fast connections.
