Cash is becoming less and less used thanks to credit cards and pay options via a phone. So do you think ATMs will no longer be used one day?

The ATM at the bank is still use for depositing money, and there are a lot of people which may still have hundreds, or thousands of dollars of paper money, money orders, and checks to deposit. The ATM at the bank is also used for paying bills, changing your pin number, and other tasks which does not need a person to do something.
Physical money in the form of paper bills, and coins is useful for protecting your privacy since it is harder to track unlike debit and credit card which has an electronic record of where you used it, and what you bought at what date. Checks and money orders are also more private because you don't have to write down what you bought with the money in the check.
Some people don't want their bank, or people who share the same bank account to know about their activities like going to a Casino, Bar, or donating money to certain charities, and political parties like the Republican party, so cash is the best way to easily spend money more privately.
Using credit and debit cards have some risk of someone recording your personal information on the card, and withdrawing money out with your info, or stealing your identity to take out a loan by using your info. There would always be some people who prefer using money to reduce their risk of Identity theft from card recorders/skimmers.

I think it depends on the bank. Some banks charge people for using the ATM while other banks do not charge for using ATM. If you use an ATM at a store, gas station, or another bank which you don't have an account at, you have to pay a fee.
Some banks require customers to pay a subscription fee to open a bank account at the bank, and the fee includes money withdraws from the ATM, and teller at the bank.

You also get charged quite a lot if you're using a foreign card, like I do. There are just so many benefits to not keeping my money locally and paying up the fees, so out of the two bad options it's the better one.
But while I like my cash and would never like to part with it, I'm sure that ATM's and cash in general will be something from the past one day. That being said I don't think that it'll happen during my lifetime anyway.

I think someday money will be the thing of the past because robots and technology will do most of the jobs, so most things will be free because robots and technology don't need money to work, and people will get most of their stuff for free from robots and technology who do work for free.

I think with so many problems in the world going on these days like terrorism, civil war like in Syria, and economic problems which happen in Greece, and Argentina, there would be a lot of people who will line up to use ATMs to withdraw a lot of their money out of the bank before leaving for a better town or country until their hometown is safe.
If there is a war and economic problems like a Depression going on, it can be harder to trust the bank with your money, so it could be safer to keep your money at home, or use your money to buy gold, silver, and land to sell at a latter time when the economy get better. Terrorists can rob the bank, and the bank could go bankrupt if there are economic problems which causes the bank's owner to take all your money before the bank is shutdown.
Trusting money websites like Paypal with your money can be risky as well because your Paypal account can be hacked, or deactivated if you break a rule in Paypal's terms of service.

I haven't used the ATM in quite a while. Since my employer offers direct deposit, my paycheck is deposited directly into my bank account without me having to physically take my paycheck to the bank to make the deposit in person. Prior to this, I use to use the ATM a lot more. It's like I've gotten to the point where I've gotten out of the habit of going to the bank or the ATM.

This is 50/50 but the use of teller is becoming less and less now a days. I went to chase the other day, ATMs are still well used but when I went inside to deposit - the tellers just guided me to use the ATM instead. Some Chase branches near me are starting to do that.

Yea, i understand what you mean.I am not sure but i assume that most of this businesses are starting to really depend on technology. Even deposit using check, we use our phones to deposit than physically go to the bank itself - that really got me really annoyed and irritated.

I also prefer a person to deposit my money since I'm afraid the machine will take my money, or the money gets stuck in the machine. Plus, if I am unlucky, and the ATM suddenly breaks, I would most likely need to call customer service, so a technician can come over to the ATM to open the ATM machine, so I can get my money which is stuck inside the machine.
I think your money getting stuck can also happen with online banking from a website or app because the internet, online databases, and website bank software can be unstable or down for maintenance, so sometimes users still need to go to a physical bank to get help with getting their money into their account, or withdrawing money out of their account.
I experience problems with food vending machine taking my money, and my chips or candy not coming out of the machine. I think having money getting stuck in the ATM would be a similar experience, but instead of losing a dollar, I will end up having hundreds of dollars stuck in the machine until someone helps me.

I haven't noticed ATMs dying over here in the UK. I mean, there's almost always people using them, so I assume a lot of people would still rather pay in cash for the most part.
As for tellers at banks? Well, I rarely go into a bank to withdraw or deposit cash. Usually seems to all be done with machines or online now, I can barely remember the last time I actually talked to someone in a physical bank.

ATMs are also still used a lot at the bank where I go. A lot of people use physical cash because they don't want their bank or credit card company knowing which stores they been to, or they don't want people to know that use their money to buy beer, drugs, weapons, and other stuff.
I think people like the homeless, and poor will still need to use an ATM, or teller to deposit their money because they may not have a computer, smartphone, etc to deposit their money which is mostly physical from begging on the street, or doing self-employed tasks like car window washing, picking up loose change from the floor, and collecting and exchanging cans, and stuff like old electronics for money at a store.

I think for people who are not overly keen on carrying money around they are used less and less but for some they do still get used even if not so much. I am still someone who uses ATM's to get even a little money out so that I know I have some money on me instead of always having to use my card as some places charge. Most of the time though I use ATM's to deposit money as do a lot of people and I feel that may be how ATM's are still popular for many.

Some stores here give costumers a small discount when paying in cash because the store saves money because the bank won't charge them for credit card and debit card fees when costumer pays in cash.
There are some restaurants, stores, and home repair services where I live which are cash only because of the high card fees, and they are afraid of credit and debit card scams.
Cash is sometimes the only way to pay amateur offline sellers at garage sales, sidewalk stores, flea markets, Craigslist, and local Newspaper classifieds which advertised their products and services in-exchange for cash. A lot of sellers and buyers on Craigslist do not trust or can't receive Paypal, checks, credit cards, and debit cards, so getting cash from an ATM or teller is the only way to withdraw hundreds or thousands of dollars to buy bigger purchases like used cars, college textbooks, computers, etc from Craigslist sellers if the seller does not trust receiving payment from Paypal, checks, and other more risky forms of payments which can be faked.
I still go to ATM's, when I travel Europe for work, sometimes they don't accept my credit card, or they're faulty, so I have to go get cash. Also it's easier when you're going as a group to a restaurant and the bill has to be separated, so cash makes it easier for the waiter.
