I don’t remember what it was called, but it was about the missed potential of Final Fantasy VIII. It discussed how the team had originally planned for Laguna and Squall to both have fully fleshed out stories of their own, and how the game was supposed to have a sort of “this is how the past influences the future” sort of feeling. Like if Laguna had done something in the past, it would affect how Squall’s future looked. Could have been a really interesting mechanic that hadn’t been explored much yet at the time.
