I dunno why they just didn't use Charles. He's a very talented voice actor and is more than just his Mario voice. He could breath new life into a character he's voiced for almost 30 years.

Anyone more when the most information about a game-based movie/show is the staff defending why it won't be like the game, I lose hope almost completely and move on. The good news is that it can't really be worse than the old live-action Mario Bros movie.
