well the real life reunion of the lovers, most likely a time skip happens and they they reveal about what happens to that world seed item. there's a episode right there.

damn good ending to this series, I know it continues in the novels but I have no idea how this story can continue and still be good.

Gun Gale Online, where Kirito apparently uses a gun and a sort of light saber. Not sure what you mean about the Asuna part but they ruined it by making the ending scene about Kirito and the other SAO players heading to Aincrad. Finishing Aincrad with the remaining SAO players is the last part of the real story.

ouch, that really is ruining it. But at the end when everyone is flying towards Aincrad everyone but Asuna is shown.
Asuna does appear, her character has blue-green hair though. It was the girl that took Leafa's hand.
