The game nights have still not fully started. Right now the hosts (mathizel and me) are testing out the server to check if it works.

Okay so currently I've been building my house but I think it might be cool to showcase some of our creations or whatnot as we go along, such as my giant spaceship, rofl. It might interest a few others into joining and will make it look like we're actually doing something, so I'll have to look into that.
Also, was there a planned group date? (lol group date). I seem to remember someone saying a Thursday, but I can't remember when.

OK, I made some massive progress on my house tonight.
Now since the Rainbow Castle (yes, KINDA based off Mario 64, YES, it shall hopefully have a 'rainbow' at some stage wrapping around it, yes it will have the airship as best as I can do unless this is too large) is gonna be quite big, I've been thinking about a little hotel service. Mathizel (since this is your server) if you say yes I'll build four 'Guest Rooms' inside my castle and then make a few 'rules' as to how they work (Don't worry I got that all covered already).
They basically act as spawn points for those who don't have a bed. Nothing more really. The in-depth rules for them will be suggested if I can make them.

I say Greenlight to that. I donnot know on which scale you want to build it, but keep in mind that there should be enough space left for surrounding houses. With this I mean, that we donnot have to walk about 5000 steps to get from one side to another side. Second. I would like to request a main hall so we have a place were we are able to gather on the nights we come togheter.

Yeah, I get what you mean. From what you see on the server there'll be another tower of the same width on the other side. If that's too large that's fine, I can shrink it down tomorrow whilst I build up the guest rooms.
And that sounds like a good idea. It would be best if the hall was somewhere close to spawn. Since nothing's on the right and I think I saw some space on it, that might be an idea. Shove a few signs in it as well telling people who's houses are in what direction (I can do that, I went sign-crazy in my house, whoops) and maybe the directions of the jungle and the dungeon when we get that far, as well as the main meeting place for gathering together.
I'll see if my Photoshop experience will let me whip up a random advertisement for the guest rooms over the weekend. But I'll try getting them made tomorrow when I play. I'll then write up some rules (as I said before I would) to go with them. Don't worry, those are simple enough.
Also, Dan's made some good modifications to his ship, so everything's going well right now. Like I said if mine's to large, let me know and I'll squeeze it a bit. Ir probably is too large, heh. And there's gonna be another tower on the other side.

I can help out with making the little guest hall, haha. Is it alright if I zip around and source in some good looking blocks from other worlds to make it look pretty? Using grey bricks is fun but sometimes we need flair, heh. And I may or may not be already doing that for my ship... *beady eyes*
Also I'm thinking of turning my ship into a multi-purpose thing as well, like Y64M's doing with his guest house stuff. Not sure what but I guess it could be good storage space or something. Or an ultra mega crafting station place.

I plan on bringing in blocks from other worlds myself. And that's up to you Dan, considering they are going to be nothing more then four rooms stacked together in a square formation made of wood. It's only a temporary stay, encouraging those who are staying to go out and make their own house.
I was thinking of a Community Chest thing in the main hall if we do make one, where players drop off stuff they don't want and it can be picked up by anyone, which would help enforce the 'don't take what's not yours' rule a bit more.
I like the ideas, but, and yes I have a but. I want you guys to agree to only use the special bricks on community buildings. When building a 'separate' home (assuming you want to build a special separate home, if not please ignore this) you should use bricks only available at this stage of the game. Because, that way there is a progress system in our game. The biggest problem with terriaria is that if you drop that by using bricks from other worlds.... Well, it beats the progres system. Of course if we reached that stage you could brings as much of those bricks in as you'd like. (Yes I only mean bricks, no tools, wings etc.).
How do you guys think of this? Because I am the host, but it is our world. It's not by any stretch of the imagination up to me to decide alone. It just wouldn't feel right to me if I did.
Also I am verry sorry for the extra down time of the server but I am going on a holiday and I don't like to leave my material on when I am away for a longer period of time. (fire risks etc.).
Well at the moment I've been hunting for silver and green bricks but I can go for the classic grey brick for now, haha. Probably a lot easier to do that as well. That's fine by me and completely understandable! But yeah I'll make the community building pretty, for sure!
And that's okay about server down time, my Internet's been in a slump lately so playing would be near impossible for myself anyways, heh.

I think Silver bricks are OK, we CAN go up to Gold armor (just not have a defense over 9). But yeah, I'll help out with the community building. You tell us where you want it and we'll get started on it.
And don't worry about the server's downtime. It gives us more time to gather up resources and other stuff.
