Windows 12 Coming Soon

Tbh trusted platform modules do a lot, so it’s not as arbitrary of a requirement as people like to mislead. It could also be a setting that can be turned on in your bios, but it wasn’t on by default, and the Microsoft verification checker doesn’t tell you that you need to do that.

It’s not like they’re prohibiting you from upgrading the OS if you don’t have a USB type C port.
I have TPM enabled. As far as I'm aware, it's my processor that is stopping me from being eligible for it, unfortunately.

Those context menus are weird. The start button didn’t bother me, because I always press the Windows key

For some reason in W11 you got to jump through a lot of hoops to turn off all the background apps which is annoying.

We still have 10 lol We don’t upgrade to upgrade. There have always been bugs & all these newer systems makes other technology obsolete. i.e. having to get a new printer. The ones I liked were 7 & 8.1. I hated going to 10. Had so many problems with it. I’d go back to 8.1 in a heartbeat!

You’re definitely in a minority, since people were glad to ditch 8.

I can't think of anyone who wanted to stick with W8, in any version.

I know some people who had flashing desktop problems in Windows 10 which make their PC unusable. I think people who experience a flashing desktop problem which make their PC unusable may more likely to dislike Windows 10 more than 8.

I think Windows 8/8.1 is more usable for most users after the user install a third-party startmenu like Start8 program to bring back the startmenu. I didn't have many problems with 8 except the start screen which was kind of a hassle to use on a regular PC or laptop without a touchscreen or motion controls.

Maybe because I only do it for basic things?

I have to be different LOL

It was definitely more user-friendly for me.

Idk, a lot of people thought the touch screen UI wasn’t user friendly, especially when most people at the time didn’t have a touch screen laptop.

I'm sure the bottom people infliate their numbers and words to make meetings go better.
Microsoft tends to not listen to its customers. The more we upgrade, the more issues we have. Even Microsoft Word, I can't stand this newer version. It always stalls on me & I'm on it all day, throughout the day.

Sure it isn't a pc issue? I use the latest version on many PCs without issue.

Maybe your computer is too old, or you're using a slow hard drive. It sucks for people on a budget, but low end computers aren't really meant to last that long. Some of those can barely handle running anything other than the operating system and a web browser, but not much else, so they end up not handling updates too well because of how low tier the hardware is to keep the price down.
