Wasn't the scenes shown with the Wii U hardware at E3 last year a pretty clear indication that they are working on this exact kind of thing already? Assuming that hardware demo was not made specifically to be that and then completely abandoned.

Seems to be a very picky glitch that is difficult to get to work and can only be done with perfect timing on wifi. So no, I don't think it is worth messing with unless you already have a friend who owns limited release items you can coordinate the glitch with.

Personally, I always review on Normal Mode. This gives the average play and let's me get through the game more quickly than Hard Modes (which is why I don't do that). I will generally start a game on Hard and Easy when they are options to get a general idea, but rarely do I play much. Honestly...

Having owned and played both recently, I would say the 3DS version is much improved and the obvious choice. The only advantage of the N64 version is being able to play it on a big screen and being able to cheaply stream it online.
