Flower Power: Favourite Mario Power-up?

I was a little disappointed with the penguin suit, and it is basically an Ice Flower. Almost like Nintendo copied it but gave it better swimming capabilities and sliding power. But, the Blue Shell would have been better in terms of originality, since the Penguin suit is Ice Flower plus Blue Shell (which gave sliding and very slightly better swimming capabilities). Only difference is the visual difference.
 
Ugh, this is a tough one. Probably the Fire Flower, but I'm not sure.

ANYWAYS....

It was said in Super Mario Galaxy 2 that most power-ups would return, but here's a valid point: One of the most fun-to-use power-ups, the Ice Flower, did NOT return, despite being included in NSMBW.

Besides which, the time limit on the Fire Flower is a silly addition and really takes away the fun of the Fire Flower.

Just thought I'd point that out.

Nintendo should've ditched the Spring Mushroom and included the Ice Flower instead. I was appalled when I pressed a switch and froze a lake, instead of freezing the water as I landed on it, and wall-jumping up a waterfall.

They messed the Fire Flower thing up, it's hard to get used to. I was very dissapointed when I saw Fire Mario fade back into Normal Mario. Soon after, I was confused due to the fact that in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario was able to throw Fireballs freely without any time limits. (Throwing Fireballs in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is my favourite thing to do) But yeah..Nintendo messed the Fireball thing up.

TTYD didn't have a long enough arena time. I wanted more action in the Glitz Pit before I has to defeat Rawk Hawk!

I think I have to agree with all the comments on the Fire Flower. Simple, effective and trustworthy. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some of the other power-ups have, but this classic is a keeper.
