Old, but this looks like a cool Donkey Kong Country fan game

It's looking really good, as per usual, leo_core! I wonder how Kiddy and DK will switch when they're partners, haha.

Well, after two weeks working exclusively with the switch and teaming up systems, finally finished! Take this opportunity to show a small preview of "Kloud" stage archetype:

IMPORTANT WARNING:
The immediate exchange of kongs and partners in the video are the debug engine, the game obviously will not. The kongs only come out from inside the barrels.

I need to rest a little editing of the game and thinking about the next step, to distract a little I start to create the 3D map of the first area of the game, I will try to create a waterfall among other things.

The custom tag ups are amazing, keep up the good work. Are there any good sprite pieces for DK to use for his Dixie tag up? It seems kinda awkward having him keep his frozen pose like that. I'm pretty sure DK should have some that could be used. Overall, still pretty good.

I am working to improve with the animations.
As I said I've been creating (or trying to) the map of the area's first game, which will be the DK head in the Overworld Map.
Here is already running inside the engine. Krens icons are not yet finalized, but it's just to show where are the stage's of this area and the location of the boss area:

Each map will have a small intro showing the main areas on the map:

This is the first area of the Kong's Island, so the overall theme of that map is sunny and happy. On the island of Krem's atmosphere is more "sinister" and dark...

Well, for the next update will show some enemies that are being added to the engine.

I'm finishing the final adjustments to the Kremling's system, so far will these prints, on Friday I'll post the video.

I finally got the engine of Krems implemented. It seems little, but this engine will be the basis for all enemies. With a few changes can make them fly, swim, jump, etc..
 
So I finally looked back at this topic, heh. And I must say, I'm really impressed. REALLY nice work here. Seems to be coming along nicely! Nice 3D fly through of the first area's map. A lot of progress was made in all that time of not checking. Glad to see this is working out really well!
 
I love Glimmering Galleon! It's so beautiful, heh. This is awesome work! Each update gets me more and more excited!

This is a small preview of this stage created by João Pedro / Pixel Cows and courtesy for our project. I took a "refined" in the collision system, added Sub Pixel Precision engine and started the collision system for buddies.

But maybe i should help you with the confusing parrot situation.
There are 3 of them:

"Squawks" (green)
"Squawk" (purple)
"Quawks" (also purple)

Squawks is the older brother to Squawk & Quawks.
Squawk & Quawks are twins.

I got bored and researched this. Apparently, Squawk (the purple one), the one that appears in "Parrot Chute Panic" in DKC2 is called "Flapper the Parrot", and is actually blue, as you can see here.

That said, they are fan names. Maybe Squawk is the official name... I have no idea.
 
Flapper appears in "Parrot Chute Panic" as a purple parrot, im not sure where this site got their Blue-Flapper from.

Any new updates about this fanmade game?
