Religion in Cartoons

Pet keepers is like.....I don't know. People who own pets. haha

Kids can be exposed to anything. And south park is rated TV-MA. It's not a kids show, don't matter if kids watch it or not, it's not a show made for kids to see because if it was you be seeing it come on after sesame street.

I AIN'T A KID. And just because a kid watches something doesn't make it a kid show. Is porn a kid show because kids watch it?

South Park is actually a satire. It uses humor to make fun of and discuss serious topics. Despite its simplicity and crude dialogue it is actually intellectually stimulating. Which is probably one of the reason why Islamic extremists had such a violent reaction to the subject of Muhammed being covered.

George Orwell did this with Animal Farm. He used humor to talk about issues like Stalinism, Russian Revolution, World War 2 and Totlitarianism, etc. and used animals to portray many of the key people involved.

The funny thing is that the enemies he was talking about read his book and loved it and laughed at the animals thinking that it was actually about talking animals in politics. If they had caught on to him, he most likely would have been killed.

I read 1984 as well. He was way ahead of his time.

I don't know, I don't want my kid swearing a lot. lol I mean, I'll teach him to be understanding of the satire and what not, but kids usually are not mature.

I've only heard the bleeps whenever they've sworn and they might have been put in for humor.. you know kind of like the unnecessary censorship skits on Jimmy Kimmel?

And also, if the kid is mature enough to understand what a satire is, then I think that it'd be safe to assume that they know that they are not to repeat the language they hear on that show.

Otherwise, if they are too young to know what it is, then they are therefore too young to watch the show and wont be allowed to until they are older.
