there are sooo many games I played growing up I cant stand now . as I find these two not up to par with todays standards, as for there time.. it was decent. now as I was just talking with Vince I have to go find Zelda's adventure as I didn't play that one and no mater what must go try to beat it. >>

I see a lot of people insult those games and I HIGHLY doubt anyone on this forum besides me ever played them on the original console they came on when they came out. Emulators aren't the same thing and even then doubtful if most of the people bad-mouthing them even played THAT. I'm not saying they are good or great, but I don't see how people can judge something just because others say it sucks when they never played it for themselves. The controls were horrible but the visuals and humor as well as story and a LOT of the puzzles were great to me. For example, ever play a zelda game where you had to go to Mount Doom and be there for so long that your sword was glowing red hot allowing you to deal more damage and then RUSH to the ice temple, go up a steep slippery slope while dodging penguin-like mobs that knock you down before your sword cools so you can melt a ice door and get a secret inside? I loved that about the game. It was creative and made a lot more sense than "oh look, a candle that burns an entire tree"

I've barely played any Zelda games, let alone why would Nintendo gender swap? The fans might want it, but NintenDON'T!
Remember, people: Almost every Link is a different incarnation. The Minish Cap Link is not the same person as the Twilight Princess Link or the Ocarina of Time Link. Every incarnation (Except for the few continuations like Wind Waker Link being the same as Phantom Hourglass Link) live in completely different eras and even universes (split timeline and all)
So why shouldn't one incarnation of Link be born as a girl?

Really, it's not the fact of turning him into a girl. It's more about how the story will change.
Link can be named Link if he was a girl since I guess it's multigender. I don't know. Never met anyone with the name.
Zelda is usually a name that girls have. If you don't change Zelda from being a girl, it'll make the Link and Zelda love interest... very odd. However if you change Zelda to a guy, it can't be Zelda since... it's not a guys name. Thus the game wouldn't be Legend of Zelda. It would be Legend of *some guy*.
I mean if they do it, that's cool and all, but the game will change a lot.

I don't like the idea of 'let's make Link a girl'.
Maybe if there was another Kokiri girl, from his village, instead of gender-bending Link.
I think it'd be really neat if they did something with an idea similar to Super Princess Peach, where something happens to Link, and Zelda has to be brave and save him. She'd be going from a reserved young lady to a brave fighter. It'd involve a lot of personal growth and helping some people along the way. I love experiencing stuff like that with characters, being connected with them on a level like that.

If you read up, I posted two games made where Zelda is the playable character that was made for a VERY pricey game system in the late 90's. The controls on the system were so bad as well as the loading times that the games failed, but if they were to fix the controls and port them to the 3DS or Wii I think they'd be very good.
