I mean, if they have to post their team (like I said in the first post) its not like they can counter team ALL of the Gym Leaders. Also, I kinda feel like it is only fair if they have to post their teams that we post ours. Still, I will abide by the group vote.

Also, I would love to ban all Legendaries, but I thought it would really turn people off to the competition (I think I mentioned it a competitive battling thread a long time ago and several members raged). I just gave a ban list based almost solely on the Video Game Championship list (with a few notes from the Ubers/banned tier on Smogon).

It's fine for me, but will be a bit annoying if people attacks us with only legends.
 
This sounds like a cool idea. Sadly I only have Diamond and all my team is level 100, but I have Dialga. >_< *Sigh* I'll have to get Black fast and then level up to 100 before this dies in the future because I like this idea.

You can always transfer your Pokemon up! As long as you can borrow a DS from someone, it only takes a few minutes to get some of your best Pokemon from older games.
 
I know, but I like to start fresh for every Pokemon game. It feels like the start of a new journey and not leaving off from the last. Though I would want to get a Charizard onto Heart Gold train it up to level 100 and transfer it to Black that way. I mean that would be cool.
 
I'm getting ready to eventually challenge you. I've been waiting since 1996 to actually do something like this.
 
Though he has not posted it here to ask, EpicSage is wondering if he can use Action Replay to get a Lati@s. Now, this may well fall under the category of hacking, so it is up to the Gym Leaders to decide if we would allow this or not. I'll make the final call, but I want to know what the rest of you think.

Rules:

Bring 6 level 100 Pokemon to battle with our Forum's Gym Leaders. Challengers would have to post their team in the official Challenge Thread (WHICH WILL BE MADE AFTER WE SET UP THE GYMS) and cannot change Pokemon throughout their challenge. This will make it easier to keep up with teams and make sure no illegal changes are made. Switching what items your Pokemon are holding between matches is allowed.

Species Clause- only one of each Pokemon per team (seriously, having to mention this at all is silly, but people do it!)

Item Clause- only one of each type of item (no giving Leftovers to everything!)

Evasion Clause- no using attacks or items that directly up your evasion. This includes Double Team, Minimize, Bright Powder, and Lax Incense (if you have a question about legitimacy, then just ask).

OHKO Clause- no using one hit knock out moves such as Guillotine, Fissure, Horn Drill, and Sheer Cold.

Sleep Clause- you may only put one of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep. If/when it wakes up, you can always put something else to sleep. Rest does not count for this.

Moody Clause- no using a Pokemon with the ability Moody. Simple enough.

Random Bans- No using Drizzle and Swift Swim on the same team. No using Sky Drop (due to glitch). No Soul Dew if you are using Latios/Latias. You cannot have Latios and Latias on the same team.

Banned Pokemon- Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem (these are all Banned by official Pokemon tournament rules) as well as Speed Boost Blaziken, Wobbuffet, Excadrill, Garchomp, and Thundurus. EXCEPTION- Garchomp and Excadrill CAN ONLY be used on teams that do not have Sandstorm support.

Also, if someone could design us badges to give out like awards then that would be perfect. If you think that is too easy an award, then maybe just doing an awards for beating 2, 4, 6 and all 8 Gym Leaders would suffice. (I would make the post in the Request section should people support this idea).

Sounds like a lot of effort, but if we have a strong Pokemon community then this will only encourage more people to play and join the forum for the competitive experience of battling our Gym Leaders.

Oops, hit Quote instead of Edit. Well, just letting everyone know that EpicSage has switched to Flying Type, so Psychic is now open for anyone else wanting to be a Gym Leader.

As spoonysage just posted, i have switched to be a flying type gym leader. I think you all know this, but i dont have any pokemon because i washed my soulsilver game in the washing machine which had like 4 games worth of pokemon on there. So I am now asking for support. In order for me to make my team, im gonne be mostly using pokemon not from b/w which im about to get, so i wanted to know if anyone or a few people would be generous enough to trade me the necessary pokemon i need to be able to breed the ppkemon i need for my team. Or if u have the pokemon at a lvl 1 or something then that would work too. If i don't have that support from you guys, then i will have to play platinum, HGSS, and B/W just to get the certain pokemon i need for my team. If it came to that, then i probably wont be able to do this pokemon thing because it would take me too long just to get my team together(let alone, to lvl 100). Anyways, please post what u think or if ur willing to help me or not. Thanks!
