I still remember the first 10 minutes after I registered at DSU for the first time. I remember the thoughts that were going through my mind, the pages I went to, where I went from there, etc. I really liked the old DSU.

Thought you might find this link interesting and pretty funny, too! Some of these drinks are simply genius, The Metroid, T-Virus, and Rainbow Road ones are my favorites.
I know a few similar forums I might be able to nab some people from but with their communities its at the point where your pretty much better off without them. Maybe you could ask some major community members to see if they could help with that.
Have you tried asking people what would interest them in staying?
Have you tried any community event type things? Competitions, polls, etc.?
I know you used to have that SMW hack going.
Who knows maybe you could start one for SM64 with that new OBJ importer and make your own custom levels.
I'm sure theres some fun ways to get people to want to stay.
Are you at least satisfied with the change? Feel like its a good step in a better direction?
I think its kind of a nice change though the place has definitely changed from what I was used to.
