I’ve been looking at how some MMOs handle banking. One system I came across works like this:
We’re also building something along these lines in Warvox with our small team, so I’m especially interested in how this kind of system feels from a player’s point of view.
I’m curious: has this worked well in other MMOs you’ve played? Does it make cash shop feel more integrated or does it encourage pay-to-win? Also, do you prefer having separate banks for storage vs. currency exchange, or does combining them make sense?
Just looking for general thoughts on this type of design.
- Banks are available in every city.
- Players can store items safely in vaults.
- They can also exchange in-game currency for cash shop currency through the same interface.
